Snowshoe Adventures at Into The Woods Farm

Snowshoe Adventures are open to all ages and experience levels looking to explore Into The Woods Farm and its surrounding forest, streams, and wetlands. For an added touch of fun, our friendly herd of goats is always happy to join you along the way.

What to Expect

Each adventure begins with a brief introduction to:

• Winter preparedness and safety

• Basic snowshoe instruction

• Winter tracking and wildlife awareness

From there, we head out to make fresh tracks in the snow.

Whether you are looking for a short, leisurely walk along a frozen stream with your family or a deeper trek into the woods to explore animal tracks and winter landscapes, we offer experiences tailored to your interests and comfort level.

Private Guided Snowshoe Treks

We specialize in private, guided snowshoe experiences designed for all abilities and interests.

Our guided hikes offer:

• A personalized outdoor experience

• Opportunities to learn about the farm and surrounding ecosystem

• Instruction in more advanced snowshoe techniques (optional)

These adventures are perfect for families, small groups, and anyone looking for a unique winter activity in Upstate New York.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Have something specific in mind? We are happy to customize your experience.

Our Choose Your Own 90-Minute Adventure allows you to build a snowshoe trek around your group’s interests.

• $150 minimum (includes 1–4 people)

• $35 per additional person

Snowshoe Rentals

Snowshoe rentals are available with advance notice and based on availability.

• $5 per person (adults and children)

You are welcome to bring your own snowshoes if you have them.

Winter Gear Requirements

Proper winter gear is required for comfort and safety. Please come prepared with:

• Waterproof outer layer (jacket and pants)

• Insulated base layers (wool or polypropylene; no cotton)

• Wool or wool-blend socks

• Winter boots

• Gloves and hat

• Small backpack

• Water bottle

Fleece and wool are recommended, as they will keep you warm even when wet.

Please Note: 4 Wheel and All Wheel Drive vehicles only. All 2 wheel drive vehicles are asked to park in the 1st lot at the beginning of the driveway. Thank you for your understanding and we can provide a ride to your vehicle following the hike.

 

Farm Events Refund & Reschedule Policy 
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we strive to be as accommodating as possible while maintaining the integrity of our event scheduling. Please review our refund and reschedule policy below:

Weather-Related Rescheduling

• In the event of inclement weather, we will allow guests to reschedule their visit if the conditions prevent a safe and enjoyable experience. Our team will assess the situation and notify guests if rescheduling is necessary.

Notice for Reschedule Requests

• To be eligible for a reschedule (for reasons other than weather), we require:

48 hours’ notice for all events scheduled on weekends and holidays.

• Requests made after the 48-hour window will be handled at our discretion, and approval is not guaranteed.

Special Circumstances

• We understand that emergencies happen. Requests outside of the standard policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis, within reason.

Multiple Reschedules

• While we are happy to accommodate changes, please note:

Additional fees may apply for multiple reschedule requests.

• Excessive changes may not be accommodated depending on availability.

Refunds

• All bookings are non-refundable. In the case of weather-related cancellations or approved reschedules, a credit will be applied toward a future event.
